Mullan: Irish ceramic lighting, now at Amphis
There’s a certain charm to Mullan that’s hard to put into words - it’s in the texture of the clay, the quality of the metal and the character of pieces made by hand. Founded in a derelict mill in rural Ireland, Mullan’s story is one of creativity, craftsmanship and place. Now available through Amphis, we’re delighted to share their one-of-a-kind lights with the Australian market.

About the brand
Each Mullan light is made to order in the small Irish village that gave the brand its name. The company still operates from its original building, with the surrounding community now an integral part of its identity.
Inside the factory, a close-knit team of designers, engineers and craftspeople work together to produce each light from start to finish. The finished result are products with presence, shaped by hand and grounded by story.

Mullan’s aesthetic blends industrial, vintage and contemporary influences, with a strong focus on materiality and thoughtful detail. The range spans pendants, wall lights, table and floor lamps, outdoor fittings and custom pieces - often anchored by a signature ceramic or brass element.
Why we love the brand
Mullan’s charm lies in the care and craft behind every product. Each piece is made to order and customisable, meaning no two lights are the same. That handcrafted quality adds something inherently human to a space.

“There’s real character in Mullan’s designs,” says Rebecca Barker, product manager at Amphis. “Their use of ceramic is especially unique. It brings this earthy, grounded feeling. And the fact that they’re handcrafted in a small Irish village just makes them even more special.”
Our top product picks from Mullan
One of our favourites is the Rivale range, a collection that’s both delicate and substantial. “It’s just beautiful,” says Rebecca. “And the colours are gorgeous.” The palette spans soft neutrals to rich, saturated tones, making it easy to complement or contrast with your space.

We’re also big fans of the Nakaii collection. It’s a playful mix of handcrafted ceramics with an industrial edge. “You can see it working in so many styles,” says Rebecca. “Coastal with a pop of colour, mid-century with rich tones, or modern as a real standout piece.” Each light is made by hand, with the raw, textural quality of the clay adding depth and personality.
Mullan brings something truly special to the Amphis offering. These are lights made to be lived with.
