Introducing: Shore

Wave hello to Shore. Sculptural form meets coastal calm in this nature-inspired collection of Decorative lights. Crafted in gypsum, these pieces are effortless, organic and endlessly versatile.

“The shift towards more tactile and organic materials in interiors has been impossible to ignore,” says Rebecca Barker, Amphis’s product manager. “We wanted to curate a range that reflected this movement - something with texture, warmth and beautifully soft light.”

Join Rebecca as she dives into Shore - a new collection of eight lights, including four pendant lights and four wall lamps, designed to bring understated elegance to modern interiors.

Inspired by nature

Shore takes cues from natural forms, with fluted details and smooth, sculptural shapes that echo the movement of sand and sea. Crafted from gypsum, a lightweight, non-toxic material with a refined plaster finish, each piece is both minimalist and full of depth.

Shore’s all-white palette is thanks to gypsum’s natural qualities. “The soft white reminds me of the beautiful lime-washed buildings on Mediterranean islands,” Rebecca says. “It has that effortless, coastal feel. And for an Australian touch, we named each piece after our own iconic shorelines.”

Flexible and versatile

Shore is made for versatile styling - perfect in a coastal design, modern home, or a pared-back, earthy interior. “We wanted pieces that felt relaxed yet refined,” Rebecca explains. “They’re subtle enough to complement any style but have just the right amount of texture to add interest. The eye is naturally drawn to organic shapes, creating instant appeal.”

From statement pendants to subtle wall lamps, these pieces work effortlessly in residential and commercial spaces. They’re quite geometric in nature and cut a lovely shape against any backdrop,” Rebecca adds. The soft matte finish subtly diffuses light, creating a warm and inviting glow.

The standout pieces

The matte finish across the Shore collection moves away from traditional glass or stone fixtures. "Typically, wall lights have reflective surfaces," Rebecca notes. "But gypsum's soft texture creates a warm ambience that's never harsh." The Torquay wall lamp is a perfect example, with fluted detailing that adds an architectural touch.

The winner for most versatile pendant is the Bells. Its compact proportions make it ideal for clustering, yet the simple, rounded form is classic enough to stand alone. Picture it above a bedside table or complementing your favourite armchair. As for Rebecca's pick, she lays claim to sculptural Coogee with its beautifully diffused up-and-down glow. "It reminds me of a seashell," Rebecca shares. It’s a great example of a piece that works in any design setting. The way the light refracts across the wall is beautiful.”

Simplicity, texture, and form define Shore. Whether you're curating a calming coastal home or adding depth to a contemporary interior, Shore offers pared-back beauty with a refined, organic touch.
