Lighting design of an award-winning home (HIA 2019)
This 2019 HIA Award Winner home is the latest expression of modern Australian architectural design. The project by Hallbury Homes was a finalist in the Best Display Home Over $1m category and winner of the Best Kitchen in a Display Home award. The team at Amphis were proud to be part of this project and supply a selection of our fittings for this contemporary home.
The property is situated in Clyde, Victoria and is a spectacular 5-bedroom home. The façade entices you with its warm glow as the Xander garden lights softly illuminate the wood panelling. These garden lights, along with Basso uplights, are utilised throughout the exterior, including the upper balcony, and highlight the focal points of the residence.
The magic of the exterior is the way the internal lighting is displayed prominently, whilst still maintaining an element of privacy. A great example of this is the impressive Agnes Replica Cascade pendant, which draws your eye to the second floor. The area’s brightness is enhanced by the Architect 2 downlights, while the pendant adds a unique flair to the entire space.
As you walk through the main entrance the wall is adorned with Bellucci uplights, which are an effective way to improve the ambience of an area. They work by reflecting light off the wall, up to the ceiling and around the room.
The Signature downlights featured in the bathrooms complement the simple and chic aesthetic, simultaneously providing sufficient task lighting for anyone using the vanity. The mirrors emit a gentle glow with the help of LED lights, demonstrating a sophisticated use of accent lighting.
This remarkable home’s contemporary design exemplifies the various opportunities that lighting can present when it is incorporated into your space in an innovative way.
